Isamar Jaquez is a Dominican-American Fine Painter and Digital Illustrator, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I create colorful paintings and illustrations exploring my connection to myself, loved ones, and spiritual figures.
My work serves as an outlet for me to heal the self playfully, spiritually, and authentically by expressing my perspective with my identity, my relationships, and the world around me. My artistic process relies heavily on my personal experiences, trauma, and curiosity of the unknown. From traditional thumbnails in my sketchbook to in-depth research on esoteric symbolism, each piece calls for a different process, but all return back to an intuitive approach to creating.
My mission is to be a lighthouse for others - to bridge the connection between the self and the Divine, and awaken others to the truth, whimsy, and love that lives within themselves.
